DAVID HARDIMAN'S SAN FRANCISCO ALL STAR BIG BAND W/VOCALIST: JANICE MAXIE-REID & DAVID ANTHONY HARDIMAN, JR. performance for the SAN FRANCISCO ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE SOCIETY ANNUAL FUNDRAISER. Published on Aug 8, 2014 Filmed at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA 5-10-14 Thanks to Zwahaler for filming this wonderful video of the "SOIREE 2014" at the Palace of Fine Arts for the San Francisco Heritage Foundation's annual Fundraiser 5-10-14. He captured the essence of the THEME: "COTTON CLUB REVUE" with dancers, vocalist, and the SAN FRANCISCO ALL STAR BIG BAND'S 39th year Celebration reminiscing the Swing Era during the COTTON CLUB'S great shows in Harlem, NY. All of the vocalist dancers from Marin, CA with Abbie portraying Cab Calloway, and special dancer portraying Josephine Baker doing the "Bananna Dance" were all fantastic opening up the show. When the SF All Star Big Band came on stage playing the music of "Duke" Ellington and Glenn Miller directed by David Hardiman, Sr. it brought the celebration to an upper level. Janice Maxie-Reid singing with the Big Band music by Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James brought forth great memories to the dancers in the audience. David Anthony Hardiman, Jr. changed the mood of the night by singing Michael Jackson and James Brown music that caused dancers to really enjoy the diversity of the Bands performance. Thanks to Peggy Dohrman and all of the producers and staff that transformed the Palace of Fine Arts into a Night Club ambiance with gaming tables and excellent meals the Fundraiser was a huge success! Hope you enjoyed watching the Video! Go to the website for David Hardiman's Music and the SF ALL STAR BIG BAND for more complete information and bookings! THEY CAN'T TAKE THAT AWAY: THE LEGACY OF THE FILLMORE (A BAVC PRODUCTION) This is a great YOUTUBE production BAVC by Lubna Takruri about the history and changes and evolution of the FILLMORE DISTRICT of San Francisco going back to the 40's-70's when it was a bustling Business and Jazz District for African Americans and Jewish people. Dr. David Hardiman speaks and plays his Fluegel horn as well as other great people and musicians are depicting past events. It deserves much recognition and applause for a great presentation! Peace and Blessings, Dr. David Hardiman, Sr. www.freewebs.com/davidhardiman
